This 1 kilo record represents the 1 kilo Cast Bar format. Argor began in Chiasso, Switzerland, in 1951 and later developed into Argor-Heraeus. Its investment bars follow the classic refinery hierarchy: maker, weight, fineness, and serial identity take precedence over decorative imagery.

Cast versions preserve the softly irregular surface of cooled metal, while minted versions offer sharper fields and edges. Across both, the restrained hallmark is meant to communicate refinery provenance and standardized precious-metal content.
