The 1970s–1980s issue is one chapter in the series. Engelhard produced precious-metal bars for commercial and investment markets in numerous molds, hallmark layouts, and serial-number systems. Poured cooling lines, loaf shapes, pressed faces, and reverse textures now help collectors distinguish production runs.
The company no longer makes these bars, so survival rates and variety—not simply weight—shape collector interest. P-Series stamps, waffle backs, serial prefixes, and facility-linked hallmarks have been reconstructed by specialist catalogs from thousands of observed examples.
