This 5 oz record represents the 5 oz Eagle Bar format. Sunshine Minting’s branded silver bars place the MintMark SI feature in the reverse pattern. Viewed through the company’s decoder lens, the mark reveals a changing validation image intended to make casual counterfeiting more difficult.
The eagle hallmark and repeating security field stay consistent across multiple weights, giving the family a practical stacking identity. Sunshine also manufactures planchets for institutional customers, so its retail bars represent one visible part of a larger minting operation.
